Today we’re bringing you some beautiful wedding photography from Melissa + Theo’s wedding at the Westover Inn in St. Mary’s!
You might remember Melissa + Theo from their snowy engagement session this past winter. We spent an hour or so in knee deep snow at Melissa’s family’s home, and then proceeded to head indoors for some shots in a more comfortable setting. In spite of the frigid weather, we had a fun time with these two, so we were pretty pumped to hear all about the wedding they were planning. Well, the day finally arrived to see how everything turned out, and while the weather report was threatening rain all afternoon we managed to escape with barely a sprinkle!
We started at the Westover Inn in St. Mary’s, where Melissa was getting ready with her girls in the Christopher Plummer room. Apparently when Plummer is in town he stays in this particular room at the Westover Inn. So, of course, any time anything happened in the room that was unexpected we blamed Christopher Plummer. It just made sense.
After the girls were all set we headed to see the guys as they tossed their suits on. Theo and his guys were such a relaxed group of guys… it was a pleasure hanging out with them, even if it was super crazy hot outside. Once they were all ready they jumped into their classic cars and headed off to the church in Kinkora. Yes, the same random church in the middle of nowhere that we’ve been at twice in the last few months… once for Melanie + Justin’s winter wedding at the Stratford Rotary Complex, and then a couple weeks ago for Kristin + Calvin’s country wedding. It seems we have the monopoly on weddings at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church… but given what a gorgeous church it is, we’re just fine with that!
After a beautiful ceremony the bridal party headed to a bridge in St. Mary’s for some pictures before making an entrance at the cocktail reception back at the Westover Inn. The reception was outdoors in a tent, and it was decorated beautifully. The heat and the mosquitos were no match for all the fun that everyone had, and they celebrated late into the night with the happy bride and groom.
Congratulations to Melissa + Theo on such a wonderful day! We hope that it’s only the first in a lifetime of happy days for the two of you. Thanks for the honour of riding shotgun with you on such a momentous occasion. All the best!
